Abstract

Background: Bullying is a form of violence that causes psychological and physical damage. Victims, especially students in Islamic boarding schools, often develop ineffective coping mechanisms, leading to isolation, low self-esteem, and even self-harm.Objective: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of peer support in overcoming ineffective coping mechanisms among bullying victims. Method: The study used a qualitative case study approach involving two female students aged 14 and 15, victims of bullying at a boarding school. Peer support intervention was provided for three days through structured sessions using SOP-based group support techniques. Results: Evaluation showed improved coping status in both subjects, with increased social participation, emotional expression, and self-confidence. Peer support helped reduce feelings of isolation and provided a safe environment for victims to express themselves. Conclusion: Peer support is effective in improving coping mechanisms in bullying victims. It helps reduce psychological stress and fosters a supportive social environment.
