EFFECTIVENESS OF GIVING CELERY WATER ON REDUCE ACUTE PAIN IN GOUT ARTHRITIS

Introduction: The general public is aware that gout artritis typically occurs in the elderly, but it can also affect teenagers if they do not pay attention to a healthy diet. Gout artritis occurs when the body's purine levels are not within the normal range. Research Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of celery leaf infusion on patients with gout artritis diagnosed with acute pain. Research Method: In this case study, interview and observation methods were used to assess pain in patients with gout artritis. Results: The uric acid levels and pain levels of both respondents decreased after consuming celery infusion. The uric acid level of respondent 1 decreased from 8.0 to 4.0 mg/dL, and respondent 2 decreased from 7.8 to 4.1 mg/dL. The pain levels of both respondents decreased from a scale of 5 to 2. Conclusion: The research results indicate that the administration of celery infusion is effective in reducing pain levels in patients with gout artritis.References
