AN OVERVIEW OF THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF PREGNANT WOMEN ABOUT CARE DURING PREGNANCY IN THE WORK AREA OF PUSKESMAS SEMIN II GUNUNGKIDUL REGENCY

Abstract

  Background: Pregnancy is the time when a woman carries a fetal embryo in her body. Pregnancy care knowledge is a form of understanding pregnant women in carrying out pregnancy care. Pregnancy care is one of the continuous programs during pregnancy, delivery period, until birth, as well as puerperium consisting of scrining, education, early detection, treatment, how to prevent, and rehabilitation in order to provide a sense of comfort and security, so that mothers can take good care of their babies. Therefore, pregnancy care is needed knowledge, because a person who has good knowledge about health will practice healthy behaviors in himself. Objective: Describes the level of knowledge of pregnant women about care during pregnancy in the work area of the Semin II Health Center, Gunungkidul Regency. Method: The type of research used in this study is quantitative descriptive research of cross-sectional approach methods. The population was 73 pregnant women with a sample of 42 calculated using the slovin formula. The data analysis obtained in this study is univariate analysis. Results: the distribution of the frequency of knowledge of pregnant women about treatment during pregnancy in the work area of the Semin II Health Center, Gunungkidul Regency obtained results, 88.1% in the good category, 7.1% in the sufficient category, and 4.8% in the less category. Conclusion: The level of knowledge of pregnant women about care during pregnancy in the work area of puskesmas Semin II Gunungkidul Regency is relatively good.
