THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DHIKR THERAPY ON REDUCING ANXIETY IN PRIMIGRAVIDA PREGNANT WOMEN (G1P0A0)
Abstract
Background: Pregnancy is a crisis in a woman's life. Pregnant women will feel more anxious than usual. Causes of anxiety in pregnant women include the condition of the baby in the womb, labour and physical changes in the mother. If left untreated, anxiety in pregnant women can cause a range of problems, from mild to severe. Mild problems include difficulty sleeping, palpitations, diaphoresis, increased lung and breathing rate, increased blood pressure, difficulty concentrating, frequent shaking. Serious problems include haemorrhage, infection, prolonged labour, premature birth and low birth weight. Dhikr therapy is considered effective to overcome anxiety in pregnant women. Objective: to determine the effectiveness of dhikr therapy for primigravida pregnant women who experience anxiety. Method: case study, sample technique using purposive sampling, Pretest-Posttest design using the Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale questionnaire, anxiety level evaluation sheet according to the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards book. Dhikr therapy is carried out for 5 days every morning and evening for 30 minutes. Results: Dhikr can reduce the anxiety level of both subjects from moderate anxiety to not experiencing anxiety. Conclusion: thirty minutes of dhikr therapy is effective in reducing anxiety in primigravida pregnant women. Key word: anxiety, pregnant women, primigravida, dhikr therapyReferences
