EFFORTS TO PROVIDE HEALTH EDUCATION TO OVERCOME THE PROBLEM OF KNOWLEDGE DEFICIT ABOUT SCABIES IN Islamic Boarding School STUDENTS

Background. Scabies is not dangerous, but disrupts activity and productivity, creates a dirty and backward impression and has a psychological impact on patients and the surrounding community (Purwanto & Hastuti, 2020). The problem of scabies in Islamic boarding schools which is not immediately resolved, the impact that occurs is the fast transmission process of scabies and disturbing the concentration of students while studying, disturbing the peace when resting, especially at night (Sumiatin et al., 2017). Method. The research used is qualitative research using a case study design. Results. Judging from the results of the presentation of clinical manifestations of scabies in both respondents, 80% and both respondents experienced knowledge deficit problems caused by lack of exposure to information with a percentage of 100%. Conclusion. There has been an increase in knowledge regarding healthy lifestyles through effective health education that can be implemented in everyday lifeReferences
