Abstract

Acne vulgaris is the most common skin disease experienced by adolescents during puberty or prepuberty. Late adolescents between 15 to 25 years experience various clinical features with moderate or even severe degrees. in the form of lesions such as comedones, papules, and nodules of various sizes. The most common condition occurs on the face, neck, upper arms, and back. The impact of acne vulgaris is quite large for sufferers, especially teenagers, physically and psychologically because it can cause anxiety, depression and reduce feelings of trust. sufferers. One of the efforts to improve the attitude and behavior of adolescents is overcoming acne vulgaris by conducting skin care education using honey. Objectives Describe how educational skin care measures can help solve the problem of knowledge deficits in adolescents to treat acne vulgaris. The research method is a case study with research subjects 2 (two) adolescents who experience acne vulgaris with a skin care knowledge deficit problem. Results: After carrying out skin care education measures, both respondents experienced an increase in knowledge. verbalization of interest in learning, the ability to explain knowledge of a topic, the ability to describe previous experience according to the topic and behavior according to recommendations that were originally being increased Conclusion providing skin care education using honey has proven effective in overcoming acne vulgaris and increasing adolescent knowledge about skin care
